Education

B'nai Chaim has an excellent Religious Education program that offers educational opportunities for children of all ages to learn about Judaism and their Jewish heritage.

· Religious School, for Pre-K-7th graders, meets weekly on Sunday mornings from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. This includes our T’fillah service and a snack! The school curriculum focuses on seven major themes: Bible and History, Jewish Holidays and Symbols, Prayer and God, Jewish Values and Spirituality, Hebrew, and Jewish Customs and Practices and Israel and incorporates many hands-on activities such as cooking and crafts.

· Hebrew School, for 3rd- 7th graders, meets weekly on Sunday from 11:00 until Noon. Students learn the Hebrew alphabet and develop their skills in reading, learning about prayers and singing prayers during a T’fillah gathering from 10:30-11:00.

· Ozerim Program, for 8th graders and beyond, provides these older students the opportunity to support Religious School teachers as they teach the younger students in school. They have the opportunity to help share their love of Judaism with our younger students. We also have a Teen Ethics class for students after becoming Bar or Bat Mitzvah that meets from 11:00-Noon.
